Private pool villa Homestay in Coorg in an organic farm besides a river with plenty of pets for company where activities include picking coffee beans, harvesting paddy, picking pepper, manuring fields, de-weeding farm grounds & preparing bio mass for bio fuel. Dogs, ducks, rabbits, horse, cows and calves are around for company. Wildlife can be spotted across the River Kaveri.
Tariff is Rs.6000 per day per couple inclusive of breakfast for a private pool Villa. Extra person charges are Rs.1000 per head. Lunch, dinner, snacks and beverages is charged extra. Children below age of 5 who need extra mattress need to pay Rs. 500. Children between 5 to 8 years will be charged Rs. 500 per day. Children above 8 years or extra adult will be charged at Rs. 1000 per day.

Multiple cuisines are available with speciality being the local coorgi dishes. Food and snacks are all home cooked and served fresh.

Hosts Som & Chethana
Eco Habitat was started by Som & Chethana out of their passion for reintroducing city folk to nature and the outdoor. They also promote Agri-tourism and responsible tourism. The hosts are always glad to discuss and educate guests about the local crops which are grown season wise and encourage them to participate in farming activities.

Suggested Activities #1 Farming
The hosts will be delighted if guests would like to try their hand at farming. Possibilities include picking coffee beans, harvesting paddy, picking pepper, manuring fields, de-weeding farm grounds, preparing bio mass for bio fuel.

Suggested Activities #2 River rafting
Kayaking and river rafting is possible during the monsoon season. They conduct river rafting on both rivers Kaveri and Barapole.

Suggested Activities #3 Tribal school visit
Around Eco Habitat, there are few tribal schools. If guests are interested the hosts can take them to spend quality time with the kids and also contribute for a good cause.

Suggested Activities #4 Elephant interaction
Dubare elephant camp is a 15 mins drive from Eco Habitat. Guests can bathe the elephants in river Kaveri and also witness feeding them. Rides are also possible on some of the elephants.

Suggested Activities #5 Plantation walk
A guided walk through the plantation will help guests understand about the different types of Coffee and the process that it goes through before it reaches a cup. Cardamom plants, Pepper and Vanilla Vines are also part of the tour.

Suggested Activities #6 Fishing
Guests can visit a fishing camp near Valnoor which is about 20 mins drive from Eco habitat. With prior notice fishing can be organised with coracle.
