Suggested Activity #3 Jata Shankar cave
Jata Shankar Cave – A sacred cave under a mass of loose boulders in which the Jambu Dwip stream has its source. A rocky formation of this place resembles the matted locks of Lord Shiva, hence the name. For Jatashankar one should move about 400 m. from bus-stand towards Pipariya and then turn towards left, opposite High School. Vehicle has to be left after 1km. and then one has to walk around 1/2 km. The temperature in Jatashankar Cave is at least 3° C lower to Pachmarhi. Natural Shivalingam in the shade of huge Naga, formed by a rock by nature, is the main attraction here. A huge rock is hanging precariously between the walls of the Cave is an unforgettable scene. This miracle of the nature is worth-seeing.

Suggested Activity #3 Apsara Vihar
Easily accessible from Jai Stambh, this ‘fairy pool’ is an ideal picnic spot for families with small children, since the pool is shallow, deepening only towards the base of the fall. From Jaistambha reach Pandava Caves and from there, drive less than 1 km. One has to do trekking of 2 km. on hilly tracks. Britishers named this place ‘Fairy Pool’. It is an ideal picnic spot. A small charming water-fall of 30 ft. height makes the pool. One must be careful about children and non-swimmers here. Swimmers can enjoy swimming and diving in this natural swimming-pool.
