WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Home Stay in a 350 year old heritage house set in the midst of lush forests of Chikmagalur. The ancestral home is full of artifacts and ornate structures. The hall has an open sky which provides spectacular views of the western ghat mountain range right from inside the house.
The charges are Rs 2000 per person per day for accommodation with vegetarian meals. If Non-vegetarian meals is your choice then the tariff is Rs 2300 per day per person. Children below 6 are not charged. Kids between 6-14 are charged Rs 1000 per day.

Rooms Double beds in traditional decor
There are 4 rooms spread over the large ancestral house each with a double bed and attached bath.
Food Malnad cuisine
Food is cooked at the house in traditional Malnad style. The spicy malnad dishes are a highlight.

Suggested Activity #1 Mulyangiri
Mulyangiri is the tallest peak of Karnataka at 6300 feet and is recommended for spectacular views of the Chikmagalur town.
Suggested Activity #2 Bhadra Wildlife reserve
Bhadra Wild life reserve is located 38 Kms from Chikmagalur and is suggested for spotting elephants, porcupines and deer.
Suggested Activity #3 Bababudangiri
A sufi shrine dedicated to Baba Budan, who is credited with bringing coffee from arabia to India, and Guru Dattatreya is located at Bababudangiri.
Suggested Activity #4 Belur & Halebid
The magnificent Temples of Belur and Halebid are located 25 Kms from Chikmagalur. Guests would be mesmerized by the intricate carvings done in Hoysala style.
Suggested Activity #4 Tiger & Lion Safari
Families traveling with kids can visit Thevarakoppa near Shimoga for the Lion and Tiger Safari. Although it is located 85 Kms from the home stay, kids would love the free roaming wild cats.
